Surrounding Rocky Fork Lake, this park is a waterside oasis. There are boat rentals available, and on most days, the lake is great for catching bass and walleye. While youre here, check out the 18-hole disc golf course in the South Beach area.

Best Ohio Campground For Water Sports: Tappan Lake Park Campground

If your family likes to go swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, tubing or wakeboarding, youll definitely want to check out Tappan Lake Park campground, which has campsites across from the beautiful 2,350-acre Tappan Lake.

With more than 500 campsites, this is a large campground. However, because the campground is split into sections for RVs, tents and cabins, it has the atmosphere of a smaller one. The RV campsites include full hook-ups. Campers love that the sites are easy to back into and clean. Pets are welcome in most areas, too.

There is so much to do outdoors in this 5,000-acre park thatyou could stay here all summer and never get bored. If you do choose a longerstay, a limited number of seasonal camping permits are available from April1-Oct. 31.

Tappan Lake is the big attraction here. This is anall-sports lake with a 399 horsepower limit, so if you have wave runners andjet skis, bring them along. The park also has a marina that offers pontoon andfishing boat rentals.

When its time to relax and soak up the sun, campers hang out at the sandy lifeguarded beach area and fishing dock. Anglers catch all kinds of fish, including catfish, white bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and yellow perch. You can also spot a variety of wildlife on the 14 miles of trails that begin at the park.

Norton Shores Michigan: Pj Hoffmaster State Park Campground

There is a dedicated vehicle camping area, which you may be sharing with others, available for $9.41 per night with an outdoor beach shower and toilets. You can also rent kayaks, surfboards, and stand-up paddleboards on site.

Utah: Shooting Star Rv Resort Escalante

If Utahs Bryce Canyon National Park with its famous natural hoodoo structures is on your bucket list, Shooting Star RV Resort is a convenient place to park your RV for exploring the park, which is about 50 miles away. Also close to the resort is Kodachrome Basin State Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Formerly a drive-in, Shooting Star has pull-through sites with full hook-ups and an outdoor movie theater where youll want to be sure to catch a movie on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday nights.

Buckeye Lake / Columbus East Koa

This is another KOA option, this time located in Buckeye Lake, Ohio, near Columbus. Its the closest KOA to Columbus, so if you want a nice place to camp with the option to go to the city and explore, this is a great way to do that.

This site has shady pull-through sites for any size vehicle, as well as cabin and tent options.

Amenities include 50 amp hookups available, WiFi, a pool, a snack bar, mini golf, a pavilion, bike rentals, a dog park, a game room, basketball, giant chess, sand volleyball and more. They also have planned activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Theres plenty to do in the local area as well. As an added bonus, on weekend mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, they serve breakfast cook to order, with options like pancakes, eggs, and other breakfast foods.

The host of this site is a friendly woman named Rhonda who loves to treat guests like family.

Pricing is similar to other KOA options, from about $30 to $60 a day usually, but with deals that can go down to as much as $20 a day on occasion for certain dates.
