Lincoln City Koa Oregon

Start with a hearty breakfast from Mel’s Kamper Kitchen. Then hit the beach, Devils Lake or the Lincoln City Kite Festival . The area boasts miles of soft beaches, perfect for whale watching, lighthouse touring and glass-float finding. Yes, the “float fairies” of the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau hide thousands of handmade, multicolored glass floats along the beaches. You’ll find the same beautiful floats for sale in the campground store. At the end of the day, “float” on back to KOA, close enough to the Pacific for easy access yet inland enough to avoid coastal fog and wind. Pull-Thru RV Sites now have 50-amp service! Enjoy a barbecue and local Tillamook ice cream. One of the local elk might even come through asking to share. This KOA is near the Lincoln City Outlets, Chinook Winds Casino Resort and the Spirit Mountain Casino. Max pull thru: 65 feet. Your hosts: Mel & Barbara Lay.

The Best Lincoln City Rv Parks

The Oregon Coasts quaint towns along Highway 101, plentiful public beaches, and abundant natural areas make it one of my favorite places to camp. When exploring the coast, Lincoln City is one of the towns where we always stop. Despite many trips there, we still have so much to discover.

Read on to see what there is to do after you pull into one of the many Lincoln City RV parks.

Sunset Bay State Park

Lincoln City KOA

Sunset Bay State Park has to be one of the most scenic spots when going Oregon coast camping, made up of towering cliffs and sandy beaches, with sites available very near the beach. Choose to stay in a tent, RV, or for something a little fancier, there are a few yurts available to rent.

One of the most popular activities in the area is hiking, allowing you to enjoy the coastal forests and incredible ocean vistas. There are several points along the trail where the views will take your breath away, such as Gregory Point and the Cape Arago Lighthouse.

Community reviews and ratings provide you with up to date information and help you select the best camp site for your next camping trip.

This is a platform for sharing campgrounds and camp sites you have discovered. We are community driven, and while we will be adding many free camping spots, we hope that you will add some of your favorite camping places as well. D River State Recreation Site

Near Lincoln City, Oregon, United States

Billed as the shortest river in the world, D River flows a mere 120 feet from Devils Lake into the roaring ocean. This beach is directly west of Highway 101, smack dab in the heart of Lincoln City. Paved parking, flush restrooms and easy access to a busy — and reliably windy — beach makes D River Wayside home to a pair of the world’s largest kite festivals each June and October. These festivals and beautiful, windswept beaches have made Lincoln City the self-proclaimed “Kite Capital of the World.”

Lincoln City is home to Finders Keepers. From mid-October to Memorial Day hand-crafted glass floats are placed along the 7-1/2 miles of public beach in Lincoln City from the Roads End area to Siletz Bay. The number of floats placed reflect the year so, 2015 floats crafted and placed for the year 2015 and so on. D River is a very popular location to hunt . . . and discover . . . your very own glass float. Remember – you find it, you keep it!

Click the events tab above left for more information about the next kite festival. Visit www.oregoncoast.org for information about kites, glass floats and other activities in Lincoln City.

Rv Camping Near Newport Or Lincoln City

Lincoln City KOA

We are planning on rving in June for one week in this area in a large fifth wheel. We are mid aged and have grown children. Can you suggest a nice rv park in this area that is near the ocean?

HI lorraine241 and welcome to TripAdvisor. The only RV park that is near the ocean in Newport is a âmotorcoach onlyâ one owned by Marathon ð

However, there is one right on the bay, just south of the bridge. Itâs new, big rig friendly, W & E w/ dump station, no trees. Not sure you can go a week without dumping?

Lincoln City has one with some ocean views and ocean access down the hill across the highway. Thereâs a pedestrian tunnel about a ½ mile away to go under the highway. Itâs also newish â itâs one of the Premier RV Resorts, 50 amp full hookups, wifi & cable. Click on Lincoln City:

http://www.premierrvresorts.com/PRVR/)/Pages/p0010Welcome.aspx

Just south of Lincoln City, there is one that is oceanfront â but sites are narrow as itâs an older park. I *think* they can take big rigs on the front spots. Full hookups. This is a fairly nice park but a tad tight if busy â the front spots are great but do book early if interested!

Those are the top three for what youâre looking for, I believe. For a complete list of all RV parks that are on or near the water , click on this list:

We have a 32 ft 5th wheel and spend many weekends a year camping in just this area. Here is where we have stayed and found to be very nice.

  • Speaking of shopping, Lincoln City also has an outlet mall, several antique stores, and boutiques for you to browse through.
  • Pack a picnic and head to Regatta Grounds where you can fish, swim, and canoe on Devils Lake.
  • Visit one or all of the ice cream and candy shops downtown. Be sure to buy some saltwater taffy!
