On 8/25/22 I visited the San Marcos store with intent of going home with a new travel trailer. The person at the front desk asked me if I had an appointment. I asked her if I needed one. She said no and went on about her business. I walked the show room and parking lot for one and a half hours and not a single person offered me any help or even spoke to me. I decided to look up the reviews and glad I did. I will shop somewhere else.

Great Experience With The Staff
Great experience with the staff. Very professional and honest. They actually realized I gave them inaccurate information on my year camper that increased the amount of my trade above what I was previously quoted. They didnt have to share this information and could have taken advantage of the situation but they were honest and increased the numbers which allowed for a better deal for me. That is very upstanding in my book. I highly recommend Camping World in Calera, Alabama. Aryn Mosley really took care of me here. Honest man.

The if you’re not happy we’re not happy line is the biggest lie they tell be awareCamping World cost my family about $1500 that could have absolutely been avoided not to mention the endless headaches and disappointment. All it would have taken was a couple of people to be honest and corporate to do the job that they said they were going to doMy claim with them started months ago and it still hasn’t been finished yet. They don’t care what kind of issues they cause for you they just don’t want you to talk bad about them. Having small children and having to disappoint them because Camping World couldn’t do their job honestly was probably the worst part of it all

Stressed With No Help
I bought a camper last week. My sales person was great. After I got my trailer, I realized I needed something smaller within a few days of getting it. It was too big to tow. I haven’t used my camper. I thought I’d bring it back and trade it for something smaller. After a week of owning it, I was told the trade in value would put me $10,000-$12,000 in the hole. Buying it back or consigning it was just as bad. After a few days! That’s ripping off customers that want to do business with camping world. I have been so stressed by the lack of understanding and help to get a camper I, a single women, can afford and easily tow.

Early Morning Fire Breaks Out At Camping World
The Lakewood Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire at Camping World, a Company that sells RVs, on 1359 River Avenue, just before 6:00 am this morning.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy black smoke coming from one of the buildings and immediately requested mutual aid as the engaged in firefighting operations.
The fire was brought under control within an hour but did result in the temporary closure of River Avenue and adjacent roads.
At this time Route 9 has been re-opened.
The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined and is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal.

Our Overall Experience Was Great
Our overall experience was great. From the woman we talked to online to going to the dealership to find exactly what we were looking for. The only complaint was all the differnt people we got passed to it made it hard to know exactly who we needed to speak with about an issue or an update. However, from the start to the end everyone was very nice and never pushed us into a sale or into a camper we did not want. We would use them again in the future.

Shady Business Practices And Horrible Service
I would never recommend anyone go to Camping World to buy a camper. The salesman either didn’t know what he was talking about or lied to get me to drive to their store when he told me my ATV would fit in their Toy Hauler. Then after settling on a price they were going to force me to pay an additional $1,000 just for propane tanks and a battery . I decided to sleep on it and put down a refundable $1,000 check deposit. The next day I decided I didn’t like how I was treated and let them know I didn’t want the camper and they couldn’t tell me what was going to happen to my check. Multiple emails to the sales manager and corporate office with zero response after multiple weeks. Have since talked to others that say they have had similar experiences. Wish I knew that before I went in there.

Camping World Deceives Their Customers
Camping world deceives their customers to sell campers. Bought a 2018 wolf pack new from them. Followed the manufacturers maintenance. Rubber roof flew off on the highway the first time we used it. Now I’m told I had to treat and condition the roof for the warranty to cover it. Would have been nice to know when I bought it. Owners manual says nothing about conditioning. They said they would crash wrap it so it didn’t get wet. They did not and my camper went through 4 storms at their shop before I found out it wasn’t wrapped. I removed the camper from them and took it somewhere else. DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD

We when to Camping World in Kingston NY and were going to do some shopping and at the same time pump out or camper, we asked where the pump station was located and they said we don’t have one at this location, he said there is one in their other location in Coxsackie NY location I know they do so I put everything back we were going to get and and headed up to Coxsackie and when I got there I was asked are you a member ….I asked member of what… the lady said Good Sam, I said yes but does that make a difference if I can use the pump station, she just looked at me with a stupid look. She called a guy to the desk and chatted with him and he told me its Sunday they cant do it on Sundays. I yelled back but you can sell campers but I can pump out here on Sundays what a shame. and left everything we were going to buy there also. Camping World is only interested in selling you a unit and selling the highly over priced warrantees and then kicking you to the curb. I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE THIS COMPANY ONE STAR…….

Fire At Camping World In Lakewood Contained Without Injuries Cops Say
No one was hurt when a fire broke out at Camping World in Lakewood on Friday morning, authorities said.
Black smoke was pouring from one of the buildings on the property along Route 9 when firefighters arrived at about 6 a.m, according to Lakewood police.
It took firefighters about an hour to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Police closed Route 9 between Route 70 and cross Street for nearly two hours.

Lakewood Police Said The Fire Forced Authorities To Close Route 9 For About An Hour Friday Morning
LAKEWOOD, NJ Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged one of the buildings at Camping World on Friday morning, Lakewood police said.
The fire at Camping World, 1359 River Ave., also known as Route 9, was reported just before 6 a.m., Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
The Lakewood Fire Company responded and found heavy black smoke coming from one the buildings and immediately requested mutual aid, Staffordsmith said.
