We offer both wooded and open sites that can accommodate most rigs. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, water, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and most offer sewer. Groups and tent campers are welcome.
Our campground has direct trail access to approximately 1,000 miles of ATV trails as designated by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Land. You can ride to Greenville on Moosehead Lake, Jackman, The Forks, Rockwood, Bingham, and Cambridge, all from the campground! We are also less than a minute away driving from Piper Pond, a 2 mile long lake with public boat launch and beach access.
Onsite, we have a camp store and snack bar stocked with necessities, treats and goodies for the whole family, a heated pool, classic rec hall, and playground. We have three cozy rustic cabins as well as three deluxe cabins for those wanting to experience the beauty of the great outdoors but who may not be ready for the tenter or RV life!
The folks here are extremely friendly. This is our second time here and we really enjoy coming to this campground even though we live about 4 miles away. It is clean professional and everyone is so nice.

Four Seasons Camping Area is a family-focused campground that is located on the shore of Long Lake. The lake is ten miles long of clean, clear water that is midway between the Coast of Maine and New Hampshires White Mountains. So this is a great place to make your base to explore a lot of what Maine has to offer.
Though this is a family campground, it has sites and accommodations that will work for however you want to camp. If you are looking for something more private and secluded they have a site for you that you would enjoy. They have their own marina, with canoes and kayaks to rent. You can even bring your own boat, but they do not tolerate personal watercraft on Long Lake.
Ocean Trail To Thunder Hole Memorial Cove And Otter Point
The 3.5 Miles out and backtrack locate near Bar Habor features wild floras and is noble for all skill levels. Rated as easy, the trail remains accessible throughout the year and is mainly used for bird watching, running and walking.
Loved this walkâgreat way to take in some the most popular views and Acadia. We started early and would recommend doing the same to avoid the typical crowds later in the morning. Didnât love that ocean path is along the road and would be a ton better if quieter. The Gorham Mountain has a beautiful view of the ocean at the top, but no views on the way up . Would recommend this if time is short and / or youâre looking to get the Acadia highlights!

Why Youll Love It: This is a small but lovely campground situated between a river and the ocean. Its between York Beach and Ogunquit Beach. The campground is small, and the sites are close and not amenable to those desiring total privacy. But the ocean views are gorgeous and worth the trip! Keep your eyes on the tide. Nubble Light is just around the loop in the road!

Some Camping And Rv Rules For Local State Parks And National Parks
There are some State and National Park rules you should be aware of if you plan to camp at any of the many on offer in Maine.
The Bureau of Parks and Lands has established the rules we mention below:
- No visitor is allowed to feed or touch any wild animals found within any of the parks in Maine.
- Metal detectors cannot be used at any historical sites and are only allowed to be used and State and national parks with a permit.
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be consumed at historical sites, in common public areas at State and National Park campgrounds, and day-use areas.
- The discharge of waste, including detergents and soaps, is prohibited except for designated areas that allow it.
- Soliciting is not allowed.
- No open fires are permitted unless they are contained within a grill or designated fire areas. Additionally, no fires are allowed on beaches.
- Pets are only allowed at certain State and National Parks from the 1st of April until the 30th of September.
- At tent campsites, visitors can place as many tents as can fit in the designated area.
- Only one motorhome is allowed per campsite.
- No chainsaws or power equipment is allowed to be used at any of the State or National Parks. However, generators are allowed during 8 am and 8 pm if they are not bothering other visitors to the campgrounds.

Donnell Pond Schoodic Beach and Redmond Beach: Donnell Pond offers several incredible camping options on sand beaches with mountains and hiking trails all around. Where To Camp For Free In Maine
- Mains Parks and Public Lands. The dispersed camping locations stretch from the coastal islands to the mountain and lakeshores, offering something for every camper. The hotspots include Deboullie Public Lands, Nahmakanta Public Lands, Bigelow Preserve, and Cutler Coast Public Lands.
- White Mountain National Forest is located in western Main and eastern New Hampshire. This area is well known for its hardwood forests, spectacular mountain views, and alpine sports during the winter. Dispersed camping is available in all of its 3 ranger districts.
- Near Acadia National Park. While free camping is not allowed within the Acadia National Park boundaries, there are plenty of them area the area. Camp near the park, and you can then spend the day inside for hiking or other water activities. If you want to camp inside the Acadia, then the Blackwood Campground or Schoodic Woods Campground is among the popular hotspots. Try Duck Harbor Campground if you want a backcountry experience.
- Appalachian Trail. 128 of the 2,190 miles long Appalachian Trail is located inside Maine. Backpackers like to camp at the Bigelow Preserve, Four Ponds, Mahoosuc, and Nahmakanta public lands.

How To Get To Acadia National Park
The Acadia National Parkâs most significant landmark is the Cadillac Mountain, the tallest on the Atlantic coast of the United States. The park is located in the mine. A person may get to Maine by car, plane or renting an RV. While getting there, by car, the first thing is to determine whether you want to head straight to Mt Desert Land or Schoodic Peninsula. From Boston, 195 leads to Bangor, from there follow street 1A east to Ellsworth. At Ellsworth, you either en route Mount Desert Island through route 3 or Schoodic Peninsula through route 1 to HWY 186.
You may also take direct flights from Boston Airport land to Hancock County Airport or national airlines to Bangor International Airport for a plane. Both of the airports provide rental cars options. The RV option doe allows not only a comfortable trip but also timely planning. The location of the start does not matter, but it travels to the nearest position. However, as much as the RVs offer a comfortable ride, it is essential to familiarize yourself with National park Services guidelines and restrictions.
Precipice Orange And Black And Champlain North Ridge Trail Loop
The 2.1 mile trail is rated as hard but usually closed due to falcon nesting. Maine features beautiful wildflowers. The trail is used for nature trips, bird watching as well as hiking. It is best for hiking from May until October.
If you are afraid of heights this is tough! At 69 years young I found this tough but I completed it. If you just keep moving with minimal breaks it is a great aerobic trails. I a bit scared when the there was one ledge with no rungs to hold on to but I became one with the rock when my wife said No Mas! The views are beyond great. And that is no exaggeration- exquisite.
