Arizona Beach State Park
Arizona Beach is a relative new state park. It has direct access to the beach. There is a lake at the park which is stocked. Only youth fishing is allowed.
Group camping is available. There is a maximum 10 RVs under 30 feet in length OR maximum 20 vehicles for tent camping. Water is available nearby as are vault toilets. Showers are available nearby at Humbug Mountain State Park.
Humbug Mountain State Park
Humbug Mountain State Park has 94 campsites, 32 with electrical connections. The campsites are located on the east side of Route 101 and are ususally shielded from the sometimes chilly ocean winds. There is a convenient trail under Route 101 out to the beaches and the Pacific Ocean.

Humbug Mountain rises up from the ocean to a height of 1756 feet and invites with a moderately difficult three-mile hike.
The last grove of uncut old-growth rain forest on the southern Oregon coast is found on the slopes of Humbug Mountain, which slides right into the Pacific Ocean.
There is also a 2.6-mile trail that starts from the east end of the campbround. Walk past the campground toll booth, cross a small creek and go uphill. You will soon be treated to views of the ocean. Continue to follow the trail to Rocky Point, a favorite of clammers.
What A Charming Park
The owners were super and had the place decorated so nicely. Very warm and inviting. Bravo for that. super laundry although I didn’t use. the whole place was immaculate, you could see the pride of ownership there. Small and friendly place. However Port Orford has NOTHING to do there. WE stayed 3 nights which was 2 nights too long! Price is super as well . We were there in a 37′ motorhome. Thanks owners for providing such a cute place for our visit.

Arizona Beach Group Camp

- Fire ban includes wood, charcoal briquettes, candles, tiki torches and other devices that emit flames or embers.
- Propane stoves and other cooking devices that have a shutoff valve are allowed.
- Fireworks are prohibited year round on all Oregon beaches.
- Look for signs at all beach access points.
- Buy locally harvested firewood at or near your destination.
- Buy certified heat-treated firewood ahead of time, if available.
Port Orford Heads State Park
Near Port Orford, Oregon, United States
This small park in the southern Oregon coastal town of Port Orford boasts big views and a rich wartime history.
The park preserves the site of the Port Orford Lifeboat Station, constructed in 1934 by the Coast Guard to provide lifesaving service to the southern portion of the Oregon Coast until 1970. Besides the observation tower and boathouse, the compound included an Officer-in-Charge residence and a two-story building housing an office and quarters for the crew. A steep stairway with more than 500 steps connected the Crew Quarters with a boathouse.
Today, the compound is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the Crew Quarters is a museum. Take time to inspect the stations legendary, unsinkable 36-foot motor lifeboat. Inside the museum, you can see historical artifacts and interpretive accounts of the stations history that help make the past come alive.

Cape Blanco Lighthouse And State Park
Cape Blanco State Park is located 4 miles north of Port Orford west of US Route 101. Turn west on Cape Blanco Road and drive 2 miles to the park entrance. All campsites are first-come, first-served. 53 electrical for RVs. To reserve cabins, horse campsites or the group camp, call 800-452-5687.
The Cape Blanco Lighthouse is a favorite location for whale watching and offers spectacular views. The operating lighthouse has the highest focal plane above the sea, , of any of the Oregon Lighthouses and is open for tours from April through October. From this vantage point and from the cliff, there is ample opportunity for bird and whale watching.
There is fishing access to Sixes River from the State Park.
The Cape Blanco State Park has over 8 miles of hiking trails, beach walks, and 7 miles of horse trails.
Southern Oregon Coast + Rogue River Oregon
Equal parts park, wildlife refuge, museum, and monument, Port Orford Heads State Park is a fascinating place. Youll need a little time and some good visibility to truly appreciate this park, for the humble entrance quickly leads to a rich history and a vibrant present. Though small, the park has a lot to offer.
Time and weather permitting, begin your visit with a hike on the Port Orford Heads State Park Trails to get a sense of the areas geography and climate. Then finish up at the former lifeboat station and current museum, where youll have the opportunity to contemplate the careers of those who worked in the waters you just surveyed. Port Orford Heads was first established as a lifeboat station in 1934, and it remained active as one until 1970. Thats 36 years of service from first responders willing to charge out into bone-chilling waves that were so forceful and enormous they had already torn another ship to pieces. If youve seen the Oregon Coast during a Pacific storm, youll understand the monstrous conditions these crews faced. In fact, they counted on them their lifeboats were designed to right themselves after a capsize in approximately 45 seconds, and their water-tight hulls had room to accept an entire crew of survivors. The motto of these responders said it all: You have to go out, you dont have to come back.
