Big Bend National Park Texas

US: Wildfires scorched close to 5 million acres | WION News | World News

If you’re looking for a great place to go rafting, canoeing, and kayaking, Big Bend National Park along the Rio Grande is an excellent place to go. There are also trails along the park’s desert, mountain, and river landscapes for hiking or backpacking. You’ll find three developed campgrounds there, as well as backcountry camping. Currently, the park is open, and one campground is operating at reduced capacity, while other facilities, including visitor centers, remain closed.

Joshua Tree National Park California

There are a number of campsites located in this park, including Jumbo Rocks Campground, known for its big boulder rocks that shelter sites from the wind. But you can also choose between the park’s 100+ sites among its 800,000 acres, which are all first-come, first-serve right now. Campsites are currently open at the park, but all programs are canceled.

We Believe This Is A Very Attractive Industry Structure

CWH has ~20% market share in the RV dealership industry, over 70% of the industry consists of over 2,200 independent mom and pops. CWH is one of the best rollup/GARP stories in the market today. Most dealers sell for between 3-3.5x EBITDA including rent expense, and after CWH integrates them and improves ops, integrates Good Sam, sells 100% GM F& I better, and uses its buying power with suppliers – it can be 1-1.5 turns lower on a pro forma basis.

Why do dealerships sell for such low a multiple? There are only three real consolidators in the industry, CWH, Lazydays, and RV Retailer LLC. There is a fourth consolidator that is family owned but they do maybe a couple of deals each year, too small to matter. Most of the dealers are family owned and a lot are looking to retire, there are 2,200+ dealers for three real consolidators to choose from, thus driving buying power.

Other reasons include: the business is highly cyclical for these independent mom and pops, and there are typically fewer franchise rights unlike an auto dealership where you may have a right that you are the exclusive Mercedes dealer within 30 miles. CWH’s scale gives them buying power over manufacturers.

For multi dealership chains with a solid brand and ops in great markets these deals can move up to 5-5.5x, but the average multiple is in the 3-3.5x range, this is confirmed by what CWH and LAZY say at 2-4x, and confirmed by a few M& A bankers in the space.

On top of this, according to multiple employees, the company provided no severance payment.

The closure came after the company announced it was shutting down 37 stores across the country. In a press release published on their website, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis said the company will be changing its strategy and focusing efforts on the sale of its core product, RVs.

After going public in 2016, the company began to buy up other outdoor-focused stores, but it would appear the gamble failed to pay off. After hitting a high of $47 per share in December of 2017, the companys stock price has fallen drastically to about $9 as of publication.

After the closure of the Bellemont location, the nearest Camping World is in Phoenix.

Kevin McCoy, sales manager at Arizona Route 66 RVs, located just down the street from the now-closed Camping World, said he knew a number of those who worked there and said all were good, hard-working people.

McCoy said the closure comes just as the busy season for RV sales in northern Arizona comes to an end.

Camping World To Close Former Gander Mountain Retail Stores By End Of January

Gander RV will continue as a retail brand under the Camping World portfolio, but many former Gander Mountain outdoor lifestyle locations will close by the end of this month.

The owner of Camping World, who once warned West Marine that he was coming to get you, plans to complete the closure of 27 former outdoor retail stores by the end of January as part of a strategy to focus only on the companys recreational vehicle retail outlets.

Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis, also a television personality on the television show Shark Tank, had acquired the retail stores of Gander Outlet and smaller retail chains in 2017 to pursue an outdoor retail-store strategy that would partially compete with West Marine and Bass Pro Shops.

The company announced in September that it would strategically shift away from stores that cannot sell and service RVs. Camping World reiterated that policy in its , saying it planned to close 32 outdoor lifestyle locations by the end of January. It said the restructuring costs would be about $56 million.

Camping World spent around $100 million buying outdoor retailers in 2017 and 2018. But in the first half of 2019, it sold off many of those assets as the RV business slowed down.
