SierraTradingPost.com – is now owned by the parents of JTMaxx / Marshalls / Homegoods. Used to have awesome coupons but now they’re just OK, sign up for their email to get the latest coupons. They’ve begun opening retail locations as well. Selection can be hit or miss, but you can generally find good deals and occasionally awesome deals.
SteepAndCheap.com – has a “current steal” which last up to 5 minutes, sometimes you can get some real bargains.
EMS.com – they used to be a competitor to REI in the northeast, but have closed many retail stores . I’ve bought a lot from EMS since it was local but not as much online.
Campmor.com – they’ve got a location in north NJ, it’s a great store. You can find some great deals online as well.
Mountaingear.com, Moosejaw.com, Backcountrygear.com are a few more I’ve purchased from over the years, like many of the above, retail stores with online presence.

Facebook Groups & Marketplace
There are a plethora of gear exchange groups on Facebook including regional gear exchanges such as Arkansas, Colorado, Las Vegas, etc. There are also women-specific groups and groups dedicated to cycling, backpacking, climbing, etc. Just do a quick search of outdoor gear exchange and youll find dozens of groups.
Another option is to use Facebook Marketplace, which is similar to Craigslist. You can find tons of great outdoor gear deals on the Marketplace and many sellers are willing to ship. Facebook even has their own payment system to protect sellers and buyers from fraud.
