Gander Outdoors Opening Store In Coldwater Michigan
ST. PAUL, Minn.—-Gander Outdoors, formerly known as Gander Mountain, will be reopening in the Coldwater, Michigan market this spring. Marcus Lemonis, star of CNBC’s The Profit, bought Gander Mountain assets in bankruptcy court in May 2017 and is beginning to reopen many of the chain’s stores to serve customers who are passionate about hunting, fishing, marine and water sports, camping, and active and shooting sports. Gander Outdoors is owned by Camping World Holdings, and will provide outdoor enthusiasts with regionally and seasonally relevant products and services that are competitively priced.
Plans are in place for the long-anticipated and eagerly-awaited Gander Outdoors to open its doors in the Coldwater, MI market to the public for the first time in mid-May to early June. The new location at 373 N Willowbrook Road will introduce more than 55 jobs to the community along with its 33,000 sq. ft. outdoor retail, apparel, supply and service space.
It was important to me to bring the Gander Outdoors back to the wonderful community of Coldwater because the employees were top notch and the store was a great performer serving the outdoor enthusiast community, said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman of Camping World Holdings and star of CNBCs The Profit. In addition to the Coldwater location, we are currently pursuing other locations for reopening and expansion and expect to announce additional locations and markets in the coming weeks.

Camping World Plans To Sell Repurpose Or Close Up To 37 Locations
Camping World Holdings has announced that management and its board of directors approved a plan to strategically shift away from locations where the company does not have the ability or where it is not feasible to sell and/or service RVs.
Currently, Camping World operates 165 locations that sell and/or service RVs, with more than 30 RV dealership locations opened or acquired since Jan. 1, 2018. In addition, the company operates 37 locations which do not sell and/or service RVs but sell its assortment of outdoor lifestyle products. At certain locations that do not sell and/or service RVs, the company is in the process of attempting to acquire and/or obtain the developmental consents, approvals and permits necessary for the sale and/or service of RVs.
Camping World also operates TheHouse.com, primarily an ecommerce business, with five current specialty retail locations, and recently sold thirteen Uncle Dans and Rock Creek specialty retail locations.

Camping World Holdings Inc. in an update said it has opened 12 Gander RV locations since the first opened in Kenosha, WI in the late summer of 2018. Eleven more are planned to open soon.

Rv Leader Camping World Expands To Michigans Upper Peninsula
With COVID-19 driving the outdoor recreation market, Camping World Holdings Inc. is expanding its footprint in Michigan with an agreement to acquire multi-location Hilltop RV Superstore, with dealerships in Escanaba and Ishpeming in the Upper Peninsula. The acquisition is anticipated to close in May 2021.
Michigan is consistently a strong market for the RV and outdoor enthusiast, says Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO and of Camping World Holdings. This acquisition expands our reach into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and allows us to bring our assortment closer to the consumer to fulfill their needs.
The upcoming facilities are located at 2905 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba, and 600 U.S. Highway 41 West in Ishpeming. The SuperCenters will include a wide range of new and used RVs from top manufacturers in addition to a full assortment of RV and outdoor products and accessories.
Once the acquisition is complete, the company will have six locations in Michigan. Camping World operates RV dealerships and service centers in Belleville, Coldwater, Grand Rapids, and Houghton Lake.
According to Pure Michigan, the state has more than 1,000 campgrounds, along with 103 state park and recreation areas, 11,000 lakes, and more than 13,000 miles of state-designated trails and pathways.
