Welcome To Clearwater Campground
We are a family owned campground located in north Oakland County. We have owned the campground since 2001. Since then we have done many renovations. Planting about 500 pine trees, added a fountain to the lagoon, built cabins, made huge cement RV pads, for the big rigs. Renovated our restrooms and laundry, made a beautiful nature trail around our lake and have tried to create a little bit of the farm experience with our petting zoo .Mother and daughter, Christina and Mikie Neadow
We are originally from upper Michigan and have tried to bring a little of the upper down here. Our names are Christina Neadow and my daughter, Michaelann Neadow. We have a great team of workers and helpers! Mikie and Carolyn takes the reservations and keeps our office running smoothly and efficiently. Our main goal is to create a place that families can come and enjoy a safe and fun time, away from the everyday hustle and bustle, of the day to day life, and make a few memories along the way. Many people that have moved to warmer weather in the winter, come back to Clearwater Campground to visit with family and friends for the season.

Dte Energy Music Theatre
The Pine Knob Music Theatre is situated right in the heart of Michigan, surrounded by lush green forests and crystal clear lakes, the venue itself can seat seat 15,274 people. A large portion of the seating is covered by a gigantic canopy with a green lawn at the rear of the venue.
Formerly the theatre was named DTE Energy Music Theatre, and to this day nicknames like Pine Knob, The Knob and The Hill are still commonly used. Since theres an on-site general store, its easy to pick up essentials while at Haas Lake Park RV Campground. The property also offers a propane station, dump stations, rec building with pool tables and arcade games, and an events pavilion as well as a two-hole golf course, basketball courts, playground, and sand volleyball pit. With all these amenities, its no wonder that Haas Lake Park is one of the top long-term RV parks in the Detroit, Michigan, area.
First Camping Trip Highly Recommend Especially For Dte Energy Concerts
We just purchased our first RV and this our first camping experience. First I would highly recommend for anyone that is looking for some place close to DTE Energy. It’s only about a 15 minute drive to the concert venue. This state park is very well maintained and depending on the site you pick, it can be very private. Our site was very wooded, but yet it was very level. The park is very quiet, which we appreciated. On a Sunday morning walk we were invited for coffee at the host site and had a great chance to talk with the host. You can tell they enjoy their job. Electric service only, but it’s not far to fresh water in the park.

I wish I could give this place 5’s across the board, but unfortunately the DNR staff onsite makes it hard to score anymore than what I have. The grounds and area are beautiful, but expect to be under a microscope. The DNR staff will make sure they curb all your fun. Unless word gets up to Lansing and they investigate, I will not frequent ths park again. Too bad the staff needs to flex their superiority and deter fun camping friends.

Michigans Sixty Lakes Area
Traveling to the west of Hale, youll enter the Sixty Lakes area. This is where youll find you guessed it dozens of bodies of water. Some of the lakes in the area include:
- Loon Lake
- Sage Lake
- Rifle Lake
At Loon Lake, youll find Loon Lake Park, which is 1.19 acres and has a swimming beach and picnic area. Further west, youll come to Rifle River Recreation Area. This wilderness park has three ponds, seven lakes, and 7 miles of streams. There are 14 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails and a load of other activities fishing, paddleboating, picnicking, swimming, metal detecting, wildlife watching, and camping. You can even go cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and camping during the winter. If you have pets, you can take them with you too. Just bear in mind that pets cant go on the beaches or in buildings, and you must keep them on 6-foot leashes and clean up after them.

Also from Hale, you can drive the River Road National Forest Scenic Byway toward Oscoda. Just follow the M-65 as it turns into River Road. Along the way, youll come across several scenic stops. The Rollways Day Use area is next to the Rollways Campground and has a short, half-mile path that leads to the Westgate Scenic Overlook, which has a beautiful view of Au Sable River. A little farther along, Iargo Springs has a panoramic view of the river. Then, stop by the Huron-Manistee National Forests Lumbermans Monument Visitor Center to learn about the areas lumbering past and to see the 14-foot monument on the riverbank. Another excellent stop along the scenic byway is Foote Pond Overlook, which offers a fantastic view of Foote Pond from atop high sand bluffs.
