Connecticut Hammonasset Beach State Park

You can swim in the salt water, collect shells, build a sandcastle, sunbathe, relax, and walk along the boardwalk that gazes upon Long Island Sound at Connecticuts largest public beach park. Launch a carry-in boat, take a canoe trip, or fish from the stone breakwater. Summer activities include nature talks, bingo, movies, horseshoes, bocce and volleyball. The childrens play area offers a pirate ship, swings, and slides. The Meigs Point Nature Center offers programs and activities for park visitors during the summer season. Hammonasset campground has 552 sites for all types of RVs including small tear drop campers and larger Class C motorhomes. There are also many amenities including restrooms, showers, a camp store, dump stations, and water.

Delaware Cape Henlopen State Park

Cape Henlopen State Park is situated at the mouth of the Delaware Bay and features more than 6 miles of coastline. Cape Henlopens beaches attract thousands of visitors who enjoy everything from ocean swimming, boating, fishing, and kayaking to clamming, paddle-boarding and wind-surfing. But Cape Henlopen offers more than just the ocean and bays. The parks premiere trails offer hiking and biking exploration. Cape Henlopens campground is set among pine-covered dunes. The campground offers water, electric hook-ups, fire rings and picnic tables, camp store, laundry facility, pull-through sites, play area, additional dump stations and more.

  • The following areas are closed to camping:
  • Arizona: North and South Telephone Cove, Cabinsite Point and Princess Cove
  • Nevada: Dick’s Cove, Placer Cove and Rogers Spring
  • Camping is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.
  • Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.
  • Camping is limited to 15 days per visit in the backcountry. After 15 days, campers must either move to another backcountry area or developed campground, or leave the park.
  • Pack out what you pack in.
  • All persons camping within one-quarter mile of the shore of Lake Mead and Lake Mohave to include hot and cold springs shall have a means to contain solid human waste.
  • Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please do not create or sustain unreasonable noise, including generators, during those hours.
  • Property unattended for longer than 24 hours is prohibited unless authorized in writing by the Lake Mead NRA Superintendent.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Barking dogs are considered a nuisance. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.
  • Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. All plants, animals and natural features are protected in national parks.
  • Fire size must be less than three feet in diameter.
  • Fires must be above ground and attended at all times.

    Harrington Beach State Park Wisconsin

    Harrington Beach State Park is a lovely, pet-friendly state park with a campground in Belgium, Wisconsin. The campground is a short walk from Lake Michigan and offers sites with and without electricity, picnic tables, fire rings, water stations, and a dump station.

    The campground is ideal for enjoying a range of outdoor activities such as boating, swimming, kayaking, paddling, and fishing on the lake, as well as hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, and stargazing from this mile-long shoreline. There is an excellent and well-developed trail system for hiking, as well as roads for biking.

    Next, in Kelseyville, California, Clear Lake State Park is an attractive water sport and recreation location. This state park offers 149 developed campsites, four campgrounds, and two camping sites.

    Clear Lake provides a swimming beach complete with showers and a marina with available boat launches for activities. This lake has a comprehensive no wake zone along the Cole Creek area and the nearby shorelines. Its an excellent lake to go kayaking and canoeing on as this lake covers 590 acres.

    Another amazing spot for California lake camping is Shasta Lake.

    In Redding, California, Shasta Lake offers a few popular campground locations.

    Antlers Campground and Lakeshore East Campground run along the Sacramento River section of Shasta Lake in Lakehead, California.

    You can check out Bailey Cove Campground if you want to make reservations. This small campground is near Holiday Harbor Resort and is another excellent choice to explore.

    Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort California

    While Lake Tahoe gets the award for the most beautiful lake in California it can be difficult to get a campsite there. Another under-the-radar lake in the Golden State is Lake Siskiyou near beautiful Mount Shasta.

    At this end of the lake is the Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort with room for large rigs and plenty of water fun on their private beach and splash park. They have 360 sites with full hookups as well as cabins, tent sites, and retro trailer rentals.

    Pioneer County Park Muskegon Michigan

    Pioneer Park is the most popular park in Muskegon County. Here, visitors can enjoy an array of activities, including swimming, beachcombing, picnicking, camping, volleyball, baseball, basketball, and tennis. Pioneer Park is located directly on the scenic Lake Michigan, and has several lodges for public use.

    There are 235 sites available from late May until late September, each with water and either 30 amp or 50 amp electric. There are no sewer hook-ups at campsites, but there is a dump station available to all campers.

    Our playgrounds & park showers are currently open. Shower tokens are available for purchase through our token machine at the guest services building. No coins, bills only.

    There is a 2 night minimum when reserving weekends. Fridays & Saturdays must be reserved together. There is a 3-4 night minimum when reserving holiday weekends. Many campers find out the hard way that from mid-March through September our campgrounds sell out on the weekends.

    Eight persons maximum & two vehicle maximum per campsite. First vehicle is included, extra fees apply for second vehicle upon arrival.

    At Lake Casitas, with over 400 sites, you can choose the camping experience that suits you best. Some sites are lakeside, close enough to hear the lapping water, others are nestled among the trees, and still more are located on hillsides offering splendid views of the sparkling lake.

    Orchard Beach State Park Michigan

    Located on a stretch of rugged coastline in Manistee, Michigan, Orchard Beach State Park is one of the best places to visit to experience the changing colors of fall. The pet-friendly campground has full amenities such as electricity and water hook-ups, water stations, and a dump station, as well as picnic tables, and fire rings, and activities include fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, and mountain biking.

    The town of Manistee is well worth a visit. Once renowned as a town of millionaires in the late 1800s, today the town has lovely old buildings to explore and plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, and more.     San Bernardino National Forest Campsites

    San Bernardino National Forest has several Group Campsites in Big Bear. These secluded forest campsites will accommodate up to 40 happy campers. Perfect for large family campouts, clubs, or groups of friends. There is a huge BBQ with five picnic tables, a fire ring and pit toilets for each location. No water or electric, so bring your own.     McIntosh Lake RV Park is less than a mile from I-95 in Townsend, Georgia between Savannah and Brunswick. Grocery stores, banks, and doctors offices are only a short distance away.

    Nestled between the shores of Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake, Ludington State Park has four camping areas that cater to tents, trailers, and RVs. The park is perfect for both enjoying the beach, as well as hiking through beautiful woods and dunes. The campground is a short drive from downtown Ludington, which is home to many shops, cafés, restaurants, and quaint little art studios.

    Amenities in the campground within the park include electricity and water hook-ups, picnic tables, fire pits, water filling stations, and a dump station. The campground also has three mini, rustic cabins available for booking and a boat launch is available on Hamlin Lake. Pets are allowed in the campground, but not on the beaches.

    Nestled between Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake just north of Ludington, Michigan, Ludington State Park encompasses almost 5,300 acres comprising several ecosystems, including dense forests, lush marshlands and wetlands, lakes, rivers, sandy beaches, and scenic dunes.

    Campground facilities include swimming pools, playgrounds, laundry rooms, games rooms, convenience stores, and fish freezers, and other activities include interpretive programs, nature hikes, classes, and a Civilian Conservation Corps camp.

    University Of Michigan Museum Of Art

    Built as a war memorial in 1909, the University of Michigan Museum of Art is one of the largest university art museums in the country. The Museum is home to the newly renovated Alumni Memorial Hall, the Maxine and Stuart Frankel, and the Frankel Family Wing and features a comprehensive collection of more than 19,000 works that span an array of periods, cultures, and forms of media.

    Sunset Bay Rv Resort & Campground

    If we are going to camp near lakes, lets camp near the largest lake first. Sunset Bay RV Resort & Campground is located right on the shores of the massive Lake Superior in Michigan.

    Operating since 1944, this campground has 23 partial hookup RV sites and 11 tent sites. The campground also has shower facilities, campfire pits, and a laundry room. Best of all, most of the sites either sit right on or have views of the lake.

    Hooking You Up With Full Hook Ups

    Lake Camanche Resort offers both short-term and long-term RV Camping sites on the South Shore.

    Monument RV Park has 99 spacious sites near four small fishing ponds and the lake. Recently renovated this park is located at South Shore featuring full hook-ups including 30 and 50 amp electrical service, picnic tables, and fire rings.

    • Lakeside sites for those campers with boats

    Miners Camp RV Park is nestled in the hillside and sits above the campgrounds. This park can be rented for up to 14 days or six months and is a short walk away from basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. There are no fire rings available inside Miners Camp.

    • Miners Camp RV Campground is located off of Bret Harte Drive close to the tennis and basketball courts

    • Short walk or ride to beaches, marina, store, or amphitheater

    • Long terms stay are 6 months at a time-10 day out before return

    • All sites are full hookups featuring 30-50 amp electrical service, picnic tables, and can accommodate up to 55 long.

    Showers and laundry facilities are located nearby. All RVs staying within Monument and Miners Camp must be self-contained. Self-contained RVs may also camp at North Shore. We also feature 20 undeveloped primitive sites that can accommodate a tent or a self-contained RV.
