This was the fourth rally I have hosted here. The staff once again went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The rally room is great as is the kitchen, family style bathrooms, and terrific saltwater pool. I recommend this resort for rallies as well as a great place for anyone to kick back and relax. Everything is always spotless and we never feel crowded. The staff is great at making even a newbie look like a pro backing into their site. New managers are taking over in a week or so and we had the opportunity to meet them. If possible, I think things will improve even more.Trip Advisor only has options to rate individual areas for hotels….too bad. I would rate Wilderness Oaks the highest in every category Moreread less

This place and community is great! Great location close to the island/beach and great views from this park. We made a last minute reservation for a quick getaway. They were happy to accommodate our custom mini home. The camp hosts and owners were so friendly and helpful!! Even the residents/campers here are awesome! Thank you for making us feel so welcome! Colonia Del Rey Campground
This campground is convenient to the beaches of North Padre Island and features pull-thru sites that are up to 80 long. They offer wonderful amenities, such as preferred and premium lots with shade trees, Wi-Fi, cable, a recreation hall, and a book exchange. The park also has a pool, a fish cleaning station, restroom/shower facilities, and an on-site laundry area.
During the winter season, you can participate in various scheduled group activities. The campgrounds activities director organizes a great game night, where you can spend the evening playing poker, bridge, cribbage, or dominoes. Bingo and Texas Hold Em tournaments are regular events here. The park is also close to the USS Lexington, the Botanical Gardens, and the greyhound race track.

Goose Island State Park

Another excellent RV camping spot for nature and wildlife viewing is Goose Island State Park. Just north of Corpus Christi, Texas, this incredible location has camping spots along the bays of St. Charles and Port Aransas. This Texas state park is known for its diverse wildlife, especially birds. While there are many activities to enjoy at Goose Island State Park, swimming may not be one of them, due to the rough and slippery shoreline.
There are 44 back-in and pull-thru RV sites right on the bay, and 57 sites tucked under the trees. All sites have water and electricity hookups, and every camping loop has restrooms and showers. For tent campers, there are 25 walk-in campsites and a group camp for school trips or summer camps. These sites do not have electricity, and the length limit is 65.
Goose Island State Park is open year-round. Fishing is a popular activity at Goose Island State Park, which has a 1,620-foot long pier and a fish cleaning station. You can also use their Tackle Loaner Program to borrow any fishing equipment you may need. There are also regular boating facilities for those who want to fish a little further out. Alligators are sometimes found in the park, so stay aware of the parks alligator safety recommendations.

We are located on Corpus Christi Bay at the historical aviation training facilities of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, commissioned March 12, 1941. Why Youll Love It: This is an ownership park, meaning individuals buy the lots and can opt to stay at them or rent them out. The $35 nightly rate is an average price, but the monthly rate of $275 is a steal!

Whats The Word: Doc on Camprgound Reviews says, This is a relatively new ownership park south of Rockport. Although most sites are occupied by owners, some unsold lots are available for rental. The developer, who is also the rental manager, prefers longer term rentals but short term stays are possible. The sites are large and the park is landscaped with dozens of mature live oak trees. No restrooms or showers, but there is a modest sized laundry facility. Free wifi is available but not all that reliable. Excellent cellular reception on all major carriers.
