Coffee Pot Road Dispersed Camping

Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA (aka Rifle / Silt KOA) Review

In the vicinity of Glenwood Springs, Coffee Pot Road offers spectacular views and excellent dispersed camping. You will find yourself on the opposite side of Glenwood Canyon but still within 30 miles of the city.

Coffee Pot Road goes into the Flat Tops and eventually links to the same road system as the Transfer Trail mentioned above. Checking out the Deep Creek Overlook for some breathtaking views is a must!

This is an excellent alternative if youre coming from the east because youll get off I-70 a little sooner and hopefully avoid going through the Canyon.

The owners are super friendly people. We loved our site and the creek and the little town of New Castle has everything you need to make your camping experience great. The area is so serene and peaceful and the views are absolutely wonderful. Cannot say enough positive things about it. The bathroom and showers were very clean and there was easy access to firewood for reasonable prices on site.
