My family has camped at Rocky Neck every year since I was a child. Every site had a central bathhouse and they have a variety of tree covering options for each campers preferences. Cape Lookout State Park Oregon

If relaxation is the most important thing on your itinerary this summer, why not book a campsite at Cape Lookout State Park? Liberty Lake Regional Park

Dont forget about Liberty Lake Regional Park when it comes to camping in Washington.

This family-friendly campground is just a half hour east of Spokane just off of I-90. Its right on the border between Washington and Idaho. Its a great jumping off point for exploring Northern Idaho, including Lake Coeur dAlene.

Liberty Lake Regional Park has 10 tent campsites, 17 RV campsites, 4 camping cabins , and a group camping area. Reservations are available online.

The forested sites offer peace and privacy, and campers enjoy basic amenities including potable water and showers.

We have camped several times at the Koomer Ridge Camp ground but it had been at least 10 years since we had and it is almost frozen in time. Great camp ground with simple amenities, water available without having to walk miles and miles. There are a few campgrounds along the shore of the Salton Sea, but its generally agreed that New Camp is the best for its views, amenities, and proximity to the main trails and sites.

One of the best-known campsites inside The Prom. And for good reason. On the one side youve got the clear waters of Tidal River, and on the other, theres Norman Beach, one of the best in the national park. Tidal River gets busy, so youll want to book ahead. Theres room for nearly 500 tents, but they go quick in the summertime. Bonus points: Tidal River is one of the few campgrounds we know with its own pop-up cinema. Theres also gas barbies, hot showers and dishwashing stations. Luxe.

BIG4 Phillip Island Caravan Park | Phillip Island

We couldnt leave out Phillip Island, right? There are a few camping options on the island, but the BIG4 Phillip Island Caravan Park is always a good bet . This is where you can meet Phillip Islands star residentsfairy penguins and friendly koalaswithout forking out big bucks for 5* accommodation. The campground itself sits on a nature reserve near Newhaven Beach, and its got great facilities. Toilets, showers, laundry service, a kiosk for basic supplies, plus volleyball and basketball for the kids. Defs make time to check out some of Phillip Islands famous wineries while youre in town. Given it’s just an hour or so out of the city, it makes this spot one of the best camping spots not far from Melbourne.

Boiling Springs State Park is a cant-miss destination for campers of all stripes, featuring a magnificent display of timber, lakes and streams among the otherwise sparse vegetation found in northwestern Oklahomas semi-arid climate. Named after its natural boiling spring greeting visitors at the welcome center, this prairie oasis just outside of Woodward makes for a unique and rejuvenating camping excursion with plenty of hiking and wildlife-watching opportunities. Pitch your tent, stretch your legs and get ready for an outdoor adventure you wont forget at one of Oklahomas seven original state parks.

The White Tail and Spring Hill campgrounds offer 40 RV sites and 12 tent campsites along with two options for group camping. Venture a little further from camp and check out the Scout Trail, which curves around beautiful Shaul Lake, or hike to the shores of the North Canadian River on the River Trail that begins at the namesake Boiling Springs Well. New Hampshire: Pawtuckaway State Park

9 Great Places To Go Camping In Oklahoma

Containing hikeable summits, expansive marshes, and the sprawling Pawtuckaway Reservoir, its no wonder Pawtuckaway State Park is New Hampshires favorite camping destination. Campsites are split between the inland Big Island loops and the Horse Island loops on an actual island in the lake a perfect jumping point for boaters, swimmers, and fishers. Snagging a site is best done early, as the campgrounds fill up quickly in the peak season.

Located on a former cattle ranch from the late 1800s, Dunton River Camp is a luxury compound in Colorado that offers an adventure that is more glamping than camping. Assateague Island National Seashore reopened some campgrounds on June 15, but group campgrounds and some facilities are still closed.

According to Time For a Hike, Sahale Glacier Camp is one of the best campsites in the US National Park System.

Individual campsites are nestled among rock walls you can reach by hiking through North Cascades National Park. There, you’ll camp next to the Sahale Glacier, among the mountains of the North Cascades.

A backcountry permit is required to camp there, so it isn’t for beginners, but experienced campers and hikers will see some of the most beautiful views in the US.
