It would be hard not to experience social distancing at this vast, pristine beach on St. Augustines barrier island.
Four miles of wide-open pristine beaches welcome visitors.
The beach parking lot is large, allowing you to park away from the crowds
Take a hike on the boardwalk through the dunes to the beach. You can bicycle on the beach, paddle a kayak on the parks inshore pond and sail.
Anastasia has 139 campsites for RVs and tents in hammock forest, set back from blowing sand and salt spray but within easy bicycling or walking distance from the beach.

Crystal Cove State Park Southern California
If you would rather stay closer to the coast in California, check out Crystal Cove State Park south of Newport Beach in Orange County. The parks Moro Campground is located right across the Pacific Coast Highway from the beach with spacious RV sites and beautiful ocean views.

Highlands Hammock State Park

Camping In Alafia River State Park
There are a wide range of options for camping in this Florida state park, from equestrian sites to primitive group sites. Camping here is quiet, peaceful, and relatively unpopulatedthere are only 30 designated sites.
RVs are welcome, as are tents, and trailers. 12 of the 30 sites are designated for equestrian sites. There is a 12 stall horse barn available for equestrian campers.

Tips For Rv Camping In The Florida Keys
1. Watch the Weather in the Keys
The weather is typically close to perfect on the Florida Keys throughout winter, spring and summer, although summer does see more rain. However, late September through November is the best weather of the year in my opinion. Ironically it is also the height of the hurricane season, with storms that frequently require fast evacuation on US 1, also known as the Overseas Highway, which is the only road off the Keys. If you decide to go RVing in the Keys at this time of year, keep your eye on the weather and plan ahead. Its better to leave early than to be trapped in a 100-mile traffic jam. And above all, obey all instructions from the authorities.
2. Consider Florida Keys State Parks vs Private RV Campgrounds
Some of the most desirable RV campgrounds and beaches on the Keys are in the four state parks found here. The state parks in Florida with RV camping dont change prices with the seasons and are much less expensive than the typical RV sites in the Florida Keys. All of which makes them even more desirable.
If you want to score a stay at one of the best Florida State Parks with RV Camping, particularly in the winter, try to book your RV site a year in advance. Reservations may be made one day to 11 months in advance. Any unreserved sites are rented on a first-come basis.

Escribano Point Wildlife Management Area
About 45 minutes east of Pensacola in northwest Florida, youll find Escribano Point Wildlife Management Area. Not only does it offer some of the best campsites in Florida, but theyre also free! It is open year-round and has tent-only camping in the Bayou Campground and tent or small RV camping in the Bayside Campground.
The campgrounds also have easy access to beautiful stretches of undeveloped coastline. If youd like to venture out a bit, the National Naval Aviation Museum and Gulf Breeze Zoo are nearby popular attractions.

Camping In Silver Springs State Park
Campsites at Silver Springs are secluded, which can be tricky to find when enjoying Florida state parks camping. In all, there are 61 campsites, 52 of which accommodate trailers/RVs and tents, and 9 of which are cabins.
Silver Springs State Park is on the outskirts of nearby Ocala National Forest, making this a fine place to camp to enjoy both parks.
Best Rv Campgrounds In The Key West Area
Soaring real estate prices have wiped out all the campgrounds that used to be on Key West itself. The two we list are actually on Stock Island, the gateway to Key West, and within biking distance of downtown. Alternatively, you can catch the Lower Keys Shuttle or a city bus to connect with the free downtown Duval Loop bus.
Boyds Key West Campground Boyds Key West Campground is one of the best RV parks because of its proximity to Key West. Its Coconut palms, waterfront sites, boat launch, and swimming beach give the 150 RV sites here a tropical feel, despite its close-in location to the Key West crowds. Amenities include free WiFi, a heated pool, a boat ramp, and docks.
Leos Campground Leos Campground is a conveniently located RV campground, just a block off US 1 as it crosses over to Key West. It has 30 full hookup RV campsites and nine gravel tent sites and includes Free WiFi.
Congratulations! Youve made the full trip down the Overseas Highway, 113 miles and 42 bridges. Hopefully, you took time to visit with the dolphins, sea turtles, and Key Deer, to snorkel in the crystal waters, and to raise a cocktail to toast the sunset. Now that youve reached Key West dont forget to get your picture taken at the iconic MM 0 at the end of US 1. Destin Rv Beach Resort Miramar Beach
Destin RV Beach Resort is one of the best beach RV parks in Florida. With private beach access a heated swimming pool, lush tropical landscaping, and entertainment rooms this RV resort in Florida has it all.
The site sits directly across from Miramar Beach and is just east of Destin.
Its a small impeccably kept site and has great reviews.

Although boats are not permitted in the dune lakes, you can fish from shore for bass, bream, panfish and catfish. A tram service will carry you between the beach and the campground, which has a swimming pool and shuffleboard courts.
Theres even a campground store and a cable TV connection at each site!
Each of the 156 campsites has water, 30 and 50-amp electric, cable and sewer hookups. Restrooms with showers have both heat and AC, and laundry facilities are available to campers. Theres also a tent area with 22 sites on elevated pads with a fire ring, water and electric. The park also has 30 bungalows and cabins. Pets are welcome, as are big rigs up to 45 feet in length.
Glamping at Topsail Hill: The company that has the camp store and kayak concession at Topsail Hill also operates Fancy Camps where, for $130 a night, you can stay in a fully outfitted tent with a queen bed, linens, rugs, lamps and even portable air conditioners or heaters.

Shockingly, wild bison and horses roam this diverse prairie, making it a unique experience only found in this Florida state park. Camping here is a musttheres so much to do in this preserve, youll want at least a few days to take it all in.
There are over 30 miles of trails for equestrian, biking, and walking, and 23,000 acres of true Florida wilderness to take in. Its a spectacular prairie preserve with a rich and varied landscape.
Myakka River State Parksarasota Florida
Its an appropriate river to have been the first-designated wild river, as Myakka River is a waterway that has been explored among humans since humans first inhabited this land. Its also a majestic river, with palm trees and live oaks in a lush canopy over the riverbanks. The river itself wanders through marshlands, prairies, hammocks, and pinelands.
Not just popular among paddle-boaters, there are bicycle trails that wander throughout the park, as well. And a personal favorite? The Myakka Canopy Walkway, the first public treetop trail in North America. It is 25 feet above ground, and extends 100 feet through the trees, providing a birds eye view to the canopy of Live Oak and Sabal Palm.

Along with the beautiful sandy beaches, St. George Island is a great place for fishing, swimming, shelling, and even stargazing. Anastasia State Park is beautiful and surprisingly exotic feeling. The park has camp sites that are tucked between lush foliage, offering shade and privacy. Within the park are a variety of wildlife, birds and plants along the nature trails. The park is also within walking distance to the beach, which stretches for miles and miles. You can also walk or ride your bike to Highway A1A, where you can find a strip of great restaurants and local hang outs. We enjoyed lunch at Ospry Tacos paired with a beer right next door at Old Coast Ales.
Staying at Anastasia State Park will also put you within 3 miles of historic downtown St. Augustine. Anyone you ask whos been there will tell you how incredible St. Augustine is. Its the oldest city in the U.S., yet so vibrant and lively. The lights, the city plaza, the trolleys, and the Spanish colonial architecture make it so unique and charming. You can get lost strolling along the old city alleys, browsing through the boutique shops, and there are more restaurants than you can even imagine!

Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Location: Hobe Sound, Florida
About the Park
Located near the Atlantic coast, Jonathan Dickinson State Park features a variety of environments, including coastal sand hills, upland lakes, scrub forests and the Loxahatchee River. On land, the park has an extensive trail system for hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Guided trail rides are available in the winter season, and allow campers to experience the park on horseback without bringing their own pony. For visitors who prefer the water, the Loxahatchee River is a beautiful river for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Equipment rentals are available at the park.
About the RV Campground
Jonathan Dickinson actually has two RV-friendly campgrounds. The Pine Grove Campground, with 90 sites, is located near the ranger station on the east side of the park. The River Campground, with 52 sites, is about four miles from the park entrance, near the Loxahatchee River. Both campgrounds have bathhouses with hot showers and laundry facilities. All campsites include water, electricity, picnic table and a grill sewer hookups are also included at all Pine Grove campsites.
