Henderson Beach State Park
Henderson Beach State Park is one of the top Destin Florida campgrounds. Located 40 miles west of Panama City Beach along the Gulf Coast, the Destin area beaches have a bit more family-friendly vibe than the Panama City area beaches. The sugar white sand and crystal clear waters of Henderson Beach is by far the parks main draw. The park also has a short nature trail that winds around the parks sand dunes and leads to a scenic viewpoint of the beach and a playground area overlooking the gulf.
Henderson Beach has 60 campsites suitable for both tents and RVs. Sites primarily cater to RVs with pull-through sites available, water and electric hook-ups, and a dump station. Other campground amenities include a picnic area, showers, and coin-operated laundry area. There is a small per-vehicle admission fee for visiting the park and camping fees are additional. Tent campers may find the camping fees a bit steep considering they pay the same amount as RVs and trailers.
Emerald Coast Rv Beach Resort
The name refers to the reflective green waters of the Emerald Coast, along which lies Panama City. The resort parallels the grandeur of the seashore.
Theres a wide selection of campsites at your disposal, including bricked paver, pull-thru, and back-in sites. The patios are adorned with furniture, and you are provided with a complementary charcoal grill. WiFi, Cable TV, and laundry facilities are among the countless other amenities available for you.

St. Joseph Peninsula stretches for 20 miles into the Gulf of Mexico just 50 miles south of Panama City. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park occupies the northern tip of the peninsula and is a haven for birdwatchers, marine life enthusiasts, and visitors looking for some quiet solitude. The parks campground and cabins were severely damaged by Hurricane Michael in October 2018 so its best to check with Florida State Parks for the parks current status.

Grayton Beach State Park

Grayton Beach State Park is located on the Gulf of Mexico halfway between Panama City Beach and Destin and features one of the states most pristine beaches. Beach and water activities are the main draw at Grayton Beach State Park, however, the park also offers a one-mile interpretive trail through the sand dunes and a paved 4.5-mile hiking and biking trail along Western Lake, one of Floridas few coastal dune lakes.
Grayton Beach Campground has 59 campsites for tents and RVs up to 40 feet in length. Each campsite has electricity and water and some also have their own sewer hook-ups. Four of the sites are wheelchair accessible. Grayton Beach also has 30 two-bedroom, one-bath cabins available for rent. Each cabin sleeps six people and is equipped with a fireplace, a kitchen with basic cooking supplies, a screened in porch, and linens, pillows, and towels.

A Luxury Rv Resort Is Coming To Panama City Beach Soon
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Some folks spend as much on an RV as they do on a house and soon theyll be able to park those luxury vehicles in another Panama City Beach location.
You might not look at the current empty lot of trees and a dirt road and think this is the future of something Panama City Beach has never seen before.
Obviously we have to get all the plans completed, which were 90% there, Kukla Developer Consultant Jon LePlant said.
Plans to build Kukla RV Resort, the first luxury development of its kind on the Beach, are in the works. It will be built between Hutchinson Boulevard and Front Beach Road off Clara Avenue.
It can bring a whole new segment of people to our market, Beach Planning Board Member Jason Morehouse said.
Plans for Kukla were approved by the Beach Planning Department in January and approved by the city council in May. Since then, LePlant said theyve been working to address some minor issues the city had with the plans.
Some of the most fabulous things about developing a resort like where are the dumpsters going? and things like that. Tree buffers, little things, said LePlant.
Little things that go into gearing this resort toward bringing in high-end clientele.
Were told this almost 30-acre lot will be full of RVs costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, as well as this lot also including other resort-like amenities.
LePlant said they hope to break ground in 30 days and be finished with the resort around the end of summer next year.

It’s real simple they tell you the price ahead of time. If you don’t want to pay that much don’t go. It’s all about Location , Location , Location. It’s a 5 minute walk to a fantastic beach. We came here for the beach. Across the street is a great pub with out of this world beefy hand burgers. The site was adequate size about what you would expect at a beach location. Water pressure good. Internet ok for email and websites I couldn’t stream Netflix so I used my phone. The pool looked clean to me but we didn’t use it.”
