Gunpowder Falls State Park Middle River Md
Gunpowder Falls State Park in Middle River, Maryland, sits on 18,000 acres and has six distinct areas. Depending on which area you choose to visit, different camping options become available. Glampers might prefer the Mill Pond Cottage, open year-round, with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, and more. Area shelters are available in the Hammerman Area.
New Germany State Park
Situated on 483 acres right next to the Savage River State Forest, New Germany State Park is one of the best-kept secrets in Maryland. There are 48 wooded campsites in the park, some of which can accommodate RVs, but the park also offers 12 full-service cabins for rent. Reservations can be made over the phone, and a special program run by the park lends out camping equipment free of charge. Visitors should also be aware that there is no cell service in the park, which makes it an ideal destination for anyone looking to unplug for a few days.

This campground is perfect for anyone looking for an extremely fun setting with beautiful sites. This campsite is located along western Marylands foothills.
Someone of the things that you may want to visit near this campsite are:

Although, personally if I were staying at this campground, I would not want to leave too often. There are so many great things to do while on the campground.

This campsite offers everything you could want to have a great time. With all these things offered, you will be loving your stay. Not to mention, the name is fun to tell people where you are staying.

Semi-primitive campsites offer access to the Red River Gorge at Koomer Ridge Campground. Sandstone arches and cliffs make up the surrounding gorge, and several Red River Gorge trails start from the campground. The forested sites offer peace and privacy, and campers enjoy basic amenities including potable water and showers.
We have camped several times at the Koomer Ridge Camp ground but it had been at least 10 years since we had and it is almost frozen in time. Great camp ground with simple amenities, water available without having to walk miles and miles. They also have hot showers, laundry, a camp store, and cable television for those camping with an RV. Some of their activities include gospel concerts, chili cookouts, bingo, and socials. Basically, you could have a family reunion with 100 people and everyone would find something to do. Its a great deal.

This northernmost stand of bald cypress trees looks like something you might find in Florida, but its Delaware thats home to Trap Pond State Park. Kayak or canoe through trees that grow up out of the water, or enjoy the pond views from the deck of a yurt or cabin. Bird watchers can catch sight of Bald Eagles, Pileated Woodpeckers, orioles, Wood Ducks, tanagers, and warblers.

New Hampshire: Pawtuckaway State Park
Containing hikeable summits, expansive marshes, and the sprawling Pawtuckaway Reservoir, its no wonder Pawtuckaway State Park is New Hampshires favorite camping destination. Campsites are split between the inland Big Island loops and the Horse Island loops on an actual island in the lake a perfect jumping point for boaters, swimmers, and fishers. Snagging a site is best done early, as the campgrounds fill up quickly in the peak season.
