Camp sites are nice and spread out. Our site didnt have water but theres a spigot up by the office and we brought our own water. Located by the river and the Green Belt bike path, there was plenty for the kids to dowe brought their bikes with us. Theres a playground and the kayaking and canoeing is available when the water is low enough. Owner and staff were very helpful and accommodating. We are looking forward to coming back!

Kings Islands Luxury Campground Now Open

MASON, Ohio After several delays, Kings Islands Camp Cedar, the $27 million luxury campground and resort, is now open.

On Thursday, Camp Cedar posted they are open and taking reservations.

The campground was initially scheduled to open around June 14 but was delayed due to construction delays.

Chad Showalter, Kings Islands spokesman, said Kings Island does not own Camp Cedar, just manages the property.

To check availability for a stay this year, visit .

The reservation office is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The resort and campsite holds 73 cottages and 164 full-service RV spaces.

Another 100 cottages are planned.

There are also recreational and adult-exclusive pools, ponds, walking trails, dining options, bathhouses, a laundry facility, firepits, grills, and picnic tables.

Tips For Visiting Camp Cedar

• You may want to bring camping chairs to sit around the fire pit. In some cases, the fire pit was located on the opposite side of the cottage as the picnic table. There are a couple of chairs on most of the cottage porches, but camping chairs would be nice to have around the fire.
• There are restaurants and fast food in the area, however we found that they closed early, even on weekends. Be sure to check their hours if you are planning to eat late.
• Shuttle service to Kings Island is available the resort. Ask at the check-in desk for details on their hours of operation.
• Ticket packages are available for Kings Island.

There are often small campgrounds locally that dont get a lot of advertising. It is good to get in touch with the local Chamber of Commerce to see if there are any new or small campgrounds that you are unaware of.

Kings Island To Open $27 Million Luxury Resort Campground In 2021

Kings Island has started construction on a multimillion dollar outdoor resort, called Camp Cedar.

The $27 million project will welcome Kings Island guests, vacationers and RV travelers.

The resort, set to open in Spring 2021, will feature 73 cottages, 164 full service RV spaces with more cottages planned.

Its natural for us to partner with Cedar Fair, the owners of Kings Island, said Jon Small, chairman and CEO of Small Brothers. As a top destination in the area, their ability to entertain and provide a place to create lasting memories is exactly the type of experience we want our visitors to have at Kings Island Camp Cedar.

The new luxury outdoor resort is located on more than 50 acres of land thats less than a mile from Kings Island.

Guests will be able to enjoy pools, bathhouses, ponds, walking trails and dining options. It will also include camping must haves like firepits, grills and picnic tables.

We are excited to offer our guests a unique lodging experience and a contemporary outdoor retreat so close to Kings Island, said Mike Koontz, vice president and general manager of Kings Island. We have stay here many times. It is a great location for visiting Kings Island and Cincinnati. Always eat at least one breakfast at the Breakfast Club in Lebanon. Just have to arrive at the campground before 10pm. Clean bathrooms. I think they also have one small cabin for rent.

Nice place close to Kings Island and very basic. They do have a pool, small store, play ground and a snack bar. The sites are pretty close together and do not offer a lot if any privacy. The grounds were clean as well as the rest rooms. The staff was nice but nothing special. It was not Enjoy your stay it was These are the rules. Kings Islands new luxury campground, Camp Cedar, has delayed its opening according to local Ohio news outlet Fox 19.

According to a statement shared by Kings Island, the campground will now open to guests and vacationers on June 24.

Unfortunately, a combination of unfavorable weather, labor, and material shortages led to the delayed opening, said Chad Showalter, Kings Islands spokesman, in a statement. Park employees are now working to help those who already had booked stays reschedule their visit or find another accommodation for their trip.

The hybrid resort and camping destination will open with 73 cottages and 164 full-service RV spaces, with another 100 cottages planned. Resort guests will be able to enjoy outdoor entertainment like recreational and adult-exclusive pools, ponds, a walking trail and unique dining options. Camping must-haves will also be available, including bathhouses, a laundry facility, firepits, grills, and picnic tables. Those visiting Kings Island can enjoy resort-exclusive perks like Stay and Play packages.

Kings Island Camp Cedar to open spring 2021

Kings Island Camp Cedar, a luxury outdoor resort and RV park, will open its gates this spring, welcoming park guests, families, vacationers and RV travelers to a family lodging and outdoor recreational destination.

Nestled amid more than 50 acres of land less than a mile from Kings Islands front gate, the addition of Kings Island Camp Cedar will make a visit to the park even more memorable.

Currently under construction, the $27 million project is owned by Small Brothers, LLC and Terra Firma Associates and through a unique partnership and licensing will be managed by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, owner of Kings Island.
