There is no shortage of activities in Cloudland Canyon, including 30 miles of biking trails , 16 miles of horseback riding trails, a fishing pond, and an 18-hole disc golf course.

    Although its located just north of central Georgia, Indian Springs made the list because of the unique qualities it has. It might not technically be in North Georgia, but its close enough.

    This 528 acre state park is named after its springs that the Creek Indians would use to heal the sick. The water in the springs is said to have a sulfur smell and taste. Today, visitors of the park are still allowed to sample it.

    Indian Springs is one of the best places to go camping in north Georgia because it offers a unique camping experience. The park itself is even thought to be the oldest state park in the nation. Overall, it has changed very little throughout the years.

    Other than taking a dip in the springs, visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, and the small museum that the park houses.
