Weve dug in and scoured the somewhat rugged terrain around Riverside and San Bernardino to come up with 25 great recommendations. There are great campgrounds for families, empty nesters, newlyweds, and even solo campers. Weve even created an interactive map to make choosing easy and fun.

Finally, if youre already a local insider, and you know of a great campground within 100 miles of the San Bernardino / Riverside area that weve missed, please share the scoop in the comments, so we can pass it along to the rest of the 50 Campfires universe.

What People Are Saying About Big Bear Shores Rv Resort

San Gorgonio Campground

Very nice and well maintained. More suited for retirees than young families with quiet, tranquil setting. More like glamping instead of camping. Renters are allowed to use the tennis court, basketball court, spa, restrooms, and showers, but not the clubhouse, gym or pool table. Those areas are for owners only. Francisco, Google review

“First time camping here at Dogwood. This is probably one of the best campgrounds we’ve been to. Very clean, spacious and semi private from your neighbors. Restrooms are very clean , showers are available and water locations everywhere. Only down is that due to CA fires this year, no campfires. DON’T BE A REBEL PLEASE.
