Good Sam Membership For Lower Prices
The Good Sam Membership at Camping World offers benefits and discounts to members. But is it saving us money? You have to have a Good Sam Membership to get their products for a lower price. The Good Sam Club starts at $29 a year, which may not seem like a lot.
But when you add in the mandatory membership and their high prices, its not worth it for me.
And, I just got frustrated when a checkout agent always pressured me to renew.

Intro To Camping World/good Sam Ambassador Program
Camping World/Good Sam Ambassadors serve as Camping World’s #1 contact with our customers in campgrounds, at RV shows and RV rallies. Ambassadors distribute Camping World flyers and promotional materials to local campgrounds during a 5-day time period each month.
They develop friendly relationships and build good rapport with both campground management and RVers. Ambassadors sometimes sponsor events held at local campgrounds.
At local rallies and RV trade shows, the Ambassadors set up a booth and distribute flyers, catalogs and other Camping World promotional materials.
Ambassadors’ assignments are seasonally-based, with seasons varying between 5 to 6 months. Most Ambassadors cover one store during the summer months and another store in the winter months.
Ambassadors are considered Camping World Independent Contractors. As such, they are reimbursed for mileage, campground fees and other Ambassador-related expenses. In addition, they are paid a modest monthly stipend. Ambassadors also enjoy free memberships in the Good Sam Club and Roadside Assistance, plus they receive merchandise discounts.
A friendly, outgoing personality is very much welcomed! This program is fun and a great way to meet many other people involved in RVing.

Customers Say Rv Purchase Turned Into A Nightmare
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – An open road, a new RV and a summer of adventure awaited Tim Dunkin and his family in May.
Or so he thought.
Dunkin purchased a brand new 2019 RV from Camping World of Myrtle Beach with the intention of taking his three kids on a trip out west.
Five months later, the trip never happened and the RV remains in the shop.
It’s just been a horrible, horrible experience, he said.
Dunkin said immediately after paying just under $200,000, numerous problems arose – the water tank was defective, the toilet didnt work, and the engine light was always on.
I didn’t buy a project that I’m gonna work on for six months or a year to get running. I bought a new motor home, Dunkin said.
After months and months of back and forth with Camping World and the manufacturer, Thor, Dunkins unit was not operational.
He said Camping World offered to sell the RV for him and give him wholesale price, however he said, did not offer to return his money.
I’m just in the mindset of Guys, I’m not the one that did this. Why am I paying the price? And they said, Well, we will not take it back. We will take it and sell it and we will give you a wholesale price just like you bought it from somewhere else, Dunkin said.
Hes not the only with a brand new RV who is experiencing issues.
Like Dunkin, Laino spent $56,000 on the RV in 2018 and shortly thereafter he discovered problems with the unit.
Now, she said she just wants it to be over.
