Maple Creek Campground Shower & Restroom Facility
Six lakefront cabins and the Lakeside Lodge include beds with vinyl-covered mattresses, refrigerators, oven/stoves, sinks, and propane fireplaces. There is also one rustic camping cabin without a kitchen located in the Maple Creek Campground. The Lakeside Lodge and lakefront cabins are available for rent year-round. Rates vary by cabin.
One ADA accessible cabin and the Lakeside Lodge include a restroom and shower.
Up to two pets are allowed at the Tomyhoi cabin with an additional fee.
Reservations open the first business day of December at 9:00am for the following calendar year.
Silver Lake offers an indoor day lodge and a variety of picnic shelters to meet your needs from small celebrations to large company picnics.
Silver Lake Park Campgrounds Are Closed For The Season

- Picnic Shelter and Indoor Facility reservations can be made by filling out a Reservation Request Form and calling 360.778.5850. Reservation is not held until payment is made.

Red Mountain Picnic Shelters
When camping at Red Mountain you are able to reserve the picnic shelters centrally located in the campground. The two shelters are tucked into the woods on the edge of a large meadow at the foot of Red Mountain. Each shelter features a serving counter, stove top, sink, wood burning fireplace, charcoal BBQ, and picnic tables. Maximum capacity 25.

Vehicle Regulations And Requirements
Specific vehicle equipment regulations and requirements are covered by the current Department of Natural Resources Land Use Order of the Director for Silver Lake State Park. Additionally, no person shall operate a vehicle in violation of any provision of Part 811, Off-Road Recreational Vehicles, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being Section 324.81101 to 324.81150 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. By authority conferred on the Director of the Department of Natural Resources by Section 504 of the Natural Resources Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, MCL 324.504, and in accordance with R 299.921 to R 299.933, the Director of the Department of Natural Resources orders the following:5.9 Off-road vehicles, Silver Lake State Park Off-Road Vehicle Area, conditions for use, prohibited conduct.Order 5.9. A person shall not do any of the following on all state lands of Silver Lake State Park posted as the ORV Area, Oceana County:
Seat belts shall be in use by all occupants while the vehicle is in operation.
An approved automotive manufactured restraining device, such as a lap belt or three- or four-point harness, is an acceptable seat belt.
The roll bar shall be welded or bolted to the floor or frame of the vehicle.
Operate an ORV that is not titled.

Camping season at Silver Lake runs from mid April through the end of October. Silver Lake Park has two RV campgrounds with water and electric hookups, one tent campground with no hookups, and a group camp suitable for RVs. Each campground offers a different experience.
Reservations are recommended, but we do have a limited number of first come/first serve sites.
Reservations open the first business day of December at 9:00am for the following calendar year.
Vehicle Towing Outside The State Park
The Michigan Motor Vehicle Code and Michigan Compiled Laws state that: vehicles may only be towed using a ridged towing bar that includes safety chains – MCL 257.721 a vehicle operator may tow only one vehicle or trailer at any time – MCL 257.721 vehicle operators must have the proper operator’s or chauffeur’s license – MCL 257.301 and in some cases reflectors or stop light are required on the towed trailer or vehicle – MCL 257.688.
These rules apply to all Oceana County and State of Michigan roadways and are in effect inside the State Park until one passes the main entrance/fee collection booth.

ORV VOUCHER SYSTEM
The Department of Natural Resources developed a voucher system as a tool to manage the long lines of Off-Road Vehicle users waiting to enter Silver Lake State Park on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
THE VOUCHER SYSTEM SEASON:Vouchers will be handed out starting mid-May, two weeks prior to the Memorial Day weekend and then continuously through the summer on weekends/holidays until the Sunday following Labor Day weekend.
Once the days Parking Lot Vouchers are all given out, visitors may choose to be placed on the Parking Lot Stand-by Voucher list for the following day.

Silver Lake Park Amenities
ToiletsVault toilets are available at each campground. Flush toilets can be found at the central shower house and at the Park Office during office hours .
Shower Facilities Silver Lake Park has two shower facilities. One is located in Red Mountain Campground and the other is located near the day use parking area and the Park Office. The facilities are available 24 hours a day during camping season at no additional cost.
Concessions The Silver Lake Park Office has firewood and snacks available for purchase during office hours. The nearest stores, restaurants, and gas are in Maple Falls, 3.5 miles south of Silver Lake Park.
Boat Rental Canoes, rowboats, 2 person and 4 person pedal boats, 2 seat kayaks, and stand up paddle boards are available for rent from the Park Office during camping season.
Horse Stables There are two horse stables for overnight boarding at Red Mountain Campground. Fees apply.
Dump Station An RV dump station is located near the entrance to Maple Creek Campground. Campground guests may use the dump station for free with a camping receipt. Non-guests can use the dump station for a fee.
