No minimum or maximum stay is required. Price: $100 per night.

Lovers Key State Park
Lovers Key State Park is made up of four barrier islands on the Gulf of Mexico. A haven for wildlife, visitors can spot ospreys, bald eagles, marsh rabbits, roseate spoonbills, and the alligators who live in the freshwater ponds. The 2.5 mile long beach is perfect for collecting seashells, sunbathing, and swimming there are picnic pavilions throughout the park, as well as grills and childrens playgrounds. Black Island has five miles of trails for hikers and cyclists.
Visitors can bring their own non-motorized watercraft or rent kayaks or canoes from the concession near the boat ramp anglers generally catch trout, tarpon, and redfish. The islands have a restaurant that serves casual fare like hot dogs and burgers the concession at the boat ramp has cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream. Kayak tours of the mangrove-protected swamp may be arranged at the boat ramp concession.

Terra Ceia Preserve State Park

If you are looking to experience a rawer version of nature, the 2,000-acre Terra Ceia Preserve State Park may be exactly what you are looking for. Conversely, if you are not, you may want to give this a skip.
This area of forests and wetlands does not have restrooms, and there is some overgrowth, but it offers gorgeous untouched nature while bird lovers will likely be particularly pleased by their visit here.
Kayaking is another activity that many engage in at this park. Some who do get to enjoy seeing manatees up close. Also, visitors who arrive here by boat get to enjoy more hours in the park as water access is available 24 hours a day while those traveling here on foot are only allowed access from 8 a.m. to sunset.

Crystal River Preserve State Park is beloved by naturalists and photographers, who come to view and record the parks bird life, and its various ecosystems. Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park is a small state park containing the ruins of what used to be the largest sugar mill in Florida.
The state park is within a few miles just off I-95, but to get to the ruins, you have to drive through a dirt road meant for only one car at a time. There are places to stop and let other cars pass in case you encounter two lane traffic.
Once you get to the parking lot, you need to do a small hike to get to the ruins. There are two choices: hike through the forest on a cleared road, or walk along the dirt path to get to the ruins. The choice is up to you, but the forest path is not suitable for people bringing strollers or those who have mobility issues.
You can walk around within the plantation ruins. There is a small outdoor museum, and a few posts that tell the history of the ruins.
You can also do a small hike to find another ruin of a cabin or a house. Its barely visible now, but still has a lot of history involved in it.
