Camping World Announces Launch Of Gander Rv Sales

Camping World Holdings Inc. announced plans to dramatically increase RV sales locations over the next 15 months through the launch of Gander RV Sales, new store openings and continued acquisitions.
Camping World currently owns and operates 133 RV dealerships nationwide, specializing in RV sales, service, outdoor and RV after-market accessories and its entire portfolio of Good Sam products and services. Just over one year ago, in May 2017, Camping World was the successful bidder for certain assets of Gander Mountain. Since the acquisition, Camping World has negotiated leases for a number of the old Gander Mountain locations in key RV markets where Camping World is under-penetrated and has tremendous opportunity to grow its RV market share and expand its customer base, according to Camping Worlds statement. Since the beginning of this year, Camping World has opened fifty stores rebranded as Gander Outdoors. With those stores up and running, Camping World has made significant investments in technology and infrastructure and laid the groundwork for the planned launch of up to 40 Gander RV Sales branded locations by Spring of 2019.

I was assured the generator on my motor home worked great when I purchased it, but its been nothing but a problem since I bought it. First time I used it, it had problems over heating when it does work, I h when I purchased it, but its been nothing but a problem since I bought it. First time I used it, it had problems over heating when it does work, I have to remove the cover and blow a fan on the generator when temps approach the mid 80s. It has been in the shop for the generator 3 times and now it needs to go in again. My Motorhome experience has been nothing but a hassle because the generator has been a constant problem. Camping World is more interested in maximizing share holders profits than having quality customer service. My first mistake was trusting Calvin, my second mistake was trusting the store manager when he said they would make it right.More

Camping World / Good Sam Announces Acquisition Of Ace Fogdall Rv In Cedar Falls Ia
LINCOLNSHIRE, IL– – Camping World, the nation’s largest RV and outdoor retailer, and Good Sam, the world’s largest RV owners organization, today announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Ace Fogdall RV, an existing RV dealership in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the next 30 to 45 days. Plans are for the location to undergo a massive expansion to renovate into a larger facility including additional service bays, a new Camping World retail store and a state of the art collision center. Camping World currently has nearby Midwest area SuperCenters in Madison, WI, Chicago, IL, Council Bluffs, IA, and three locations in Missouri.
“We are pleased to begin the acquisition of Ace Fogdall RV and expand our market share throughout Iowa and the greater Midwest area,” said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam. “For over 50 years, the Fogdall family has proudly served the Cedar Falls area with top notch service and the best products. Jim Fogdall is a pioneer in the RV industry and has been Chairman of the Board of the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association and inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame. The Fogdall family’s achievements speak volumes of the legacy they have made in the community that we are proud to continue.”
The new SuperCenter in the Cedar Falls market will add to Camping World’s future growth plans and the company expects to soon announce several additional markets of expansion throughout the country.
Blue Mound State Park
The Blue Mound campground is open year round, is located about 25 miles west of Madison, and contains 77 wooded sites, 12 bike/hike-in sites, and a rustic accessible cabin for people with disabilities. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and the Military Ridge State Trail is nearby. Toilets, water fountains and the showers are conveniently located throughout the campground. Two electric sites are accessible for people with disabilities.

Capital Springs State Park
Capital Springs State Park incorporates Dane County’s Lake Farm Park, which has a fully-accessible campground of 54 sites. Most of them are suitable for vehicle camping and others are tent sites. Thirty-nine have 50-amp electrical hookups. The campground has showers, flush toilets, and a dumping station. It’s next to the Lussier Family Heritage Center and the Capital City State Trail and just minutes away from downtown Madison and the Alliant Energy Center.

Some RV Shows are massive expositions, and some are quaint affairs. If youre going to one of the big shows, check their website for a floorplan, and list of vendors. Create a plan of action, otherwise, you may find yourself overwhelmed.
RV shows are also a great place to take short seminars from industry experts on everything from travel destinations to full-time living to picking the right truck to pull a trailer and more. Some seminars are free, some have an additional charge. Check the shows website or Facebook page for information before arriving. Often seminars can only hold a small number of people and fill quickly on the weekends.
RV shows generally run the course of a weekend, with some starting on Wednesday or Thursday. Weekdays usually see the smallest crowds. If youre buying, your negotiation stance improves towards the end of the show as vendors are eager to make deals.
